Austin Day Laborers This report describes how the Central Texas Immigrant Worker Rights Center has teamed up with the Austin Police Department and Travis County Attorney on an innovative campaign to prosecute the non-payment of wages to immigrant workers as a crime. The Central Texas Immigrant Worker Rights Center is a project of the Equal Justice Center, based in Austin, Texas. The Center helps immigrant working men and women who have not been paid for their work, combat and reform this widespread problem—regardless of their immigration status. |
